PROFESSIONAL HAIR & MAKEUP

Hi, I’m Joanne Abbishaw and have been working as a freelance hair and makeup artist for over 12 years. Having trained at York College by BBC acclaimed hair and makeup artists I have gone on to work on many productions including ITV’s Emmerdale and At home with the Braithwaites, Channel 4 Hollyoaks and Phoenix Nights, and independent productions with Sky.

With a natural flair for working with people, together with my hair and makeup experience, I have worked alongside award winning photographers and been involved in styling for numerous brides, proms and a variety of photographic work. However, of all my experiences it is the bridal work where my passion truly lies and providing their wedding hair and makeup is such a privilege.

I offer a professional and personal service working on a one to one basis ensuring you look and feel perfect on your big day. Using a range of professional brands including Mac, Dior, Bobby Brown, Nars and Tigi, I am able to create a unique image to compliment and enhance your features making you look and feel fabulous!

I always aim to meet up for a trial session where we can discuss your requirements and have fun recreating them. This is then replicated on your special day where I am not only your hair and makeup artist, but am also happy to assist with helping you into your dress, working with your photographer and doing all those last minute touch ups. I pride myself in offering a friendly, personal service, listening to you and what you want for the most exciting day in your life, whilst also offering suggestions and examples from my wealth of experience.

Please do have a look at my gallery for some great examples of my work and if you have any questions or would like to book a trial please don’t hesitate to contact me. I look forward to speaking to you soon!
